My child is good at studying English, Chinese, History and other humane subjects but is bad at science subjects. If s/he studies here, can s/he catch up with the study progress?

Subjects in the filed of humanity is compared with his or her scores in domestic. The aim of studying A-Level is to help students go to the top universities in the world. This means that the competition is worldwide. English is not the mother tongue of students. By comparison with students in English-speaking countries, can s/he be still good at these subjects? This applies the same meaning to the subjects in field of science. Chinese students are normally good at Maths, Physics and Chemistry and do better than students from Western Countries.
